Our Volunteers truly help to make the House a “home-away-from-home” for the families of Ronald McDonald House Charities^® of Memphis (RMHC of Memphis). Their caring, dependability and willingness to contribute their time and care helps to create a safe and welcoming environment where families can stay together when they need to be together the most. Our Volunteers know the House inside and out and approach their volunteerism with full commitment and the knowledge of what the House really means to the children and families that call it their “home-away-from home”.

 

The Front Desk is the hub of Ronald McDonald House! Volunteers are the first people our families, visitors and staff meet when they enter through the doors of RMHC of Memphis. Front Desk Volunteers must have terrific customer service skills and a friendly and positive attitude. Volunteers must be resourceful and able to handle greeting families and visitors, handle deliveries, stock pantries, sort donations, answer phones and deal with all of the questions and situations that arise on a day-to-day basis. The volunteer’s primary responsibility is to help the residents in any way possible. The more you are willing to give of yourself - not just your time - the more you will receive. Having volunteers staff our Front Desk means we have more resources to run the House and that the Front Desk can be a safe place for families to come and share about their day.
